The Imperial marque was introduced by Chrysler to compete directly with those of their arch rival, Cadillac. The top of the range Le Baron cost a massive $6400 when new in 1962 and understandably was only affordable by the very rich. |
| Featuring a 7 litre V8 engine, it has electric windows and even electric seat adjustment, both features well ahead of their time in 1962. The pillarless hardtop makes it ideal for wedding photography. |
| The upholstery and carpets are both finished in burgundy. The Imperial has acres of space inside and can quite comfortably carry 5 passengers. Truly amazing alround and no wonder Chrysler considered it their flagship car! |
